****UPDATE****
We had such an amazing response from our parish in picking up and sharing our prepared gift bags over the past couple of weekends that we are all out of them!
Do not let this prevent you from being creative with your own Love Your Neighbor endeavor! Reach out and continue to show your neighborly love in response to this month's theme for the Year of the Domestic Church!
Thank you to so many who participated in this giving event!
Timeframe: April 10th through April 30th
Whole Parish Activity: Parishioners are invited to take a gift bag to give to a neighbor, elderly friend or a friend in need. They can use this as an opportunity to say, “You are loved”, “Thank you for being a good friend,” or “Thinking of you.” Parishioners can write a note on the back of the scripture card expressing their thoughts and prayers as well.
Parishioners have the option to take home a “Do It Yourself” gift bag that includes instructions, scripture tag, along with ribbon and tie.
OR
A parishioner can choose to take a gift bag that includes a gourmet muffin already wrapped with a scripture tag.
Elementary-aged Students: Religious Education students are invited to take a gift bag to give to a friend, neighbor, elderly friend or relative, or a friend in need. Students can use this as an opportunity to say, “You are loved,” “Thank you for being a good friend,” or “Thinking of you.”
Middle- and High School-aged Students: Religious Education and Life Teen students can write a note to a friend, neighbor or teacher.
A poster will be provided for students to take a picture with and post on their social media accounts using the hash tag #LoveYourNeighbors.
