Graphics Information

Due to the high volume of content requests for The Bulletin, all graphic elements are secondary to the written content and will be placed as space allows. This is with respect to the amount of space in the bulletin overall as well as in the immediate area of the content.

As a professional lifestyle and news publication, graphic elements are limited to the following:

• Photography allows our readers to visualize themselves at our parish, event, initiatives, etc. Learn more about our photography resources.
• Fine art allows our readers to imagine the people and stories depicted in the Scriptures as well as our rich history as a Church.
• Graphs allow our readers to visualize and contextualize the data you are sharing.
• Logos provide a visual representation of the ministry, organization, etc. responsible for or benefiting from that which you are communicating in your content.

You may submit pre-designed graphics for inclusion in The Bulletin, however, depending on the amount of content requested for a particular weekend and the flow of the publication, we may need to rely on a text-only version of your content. Graphics pertaining to parish ministries must follow these basic visual guidelines:

• All copy (a.k.a. text) should be written following the writing style guide.
• All copy should be set in Cormorant Garamond and/or Public Sans.
• Artwork should include high-resolution brand assets (logos), photography and/or illustrations. Please do not submit designs that use clip art.
• Photography should be sourced from reputable sources that provide photographs under a license. Unsplash and Pexels are examples of such sources and they do so for free.
• The graphics must fit within the dimensions listed below.

Providing the raw file (Canva, Publisher, Word, etc.) must be submitted to the communications director. Publisher and Word files can be uploaded using the submission form (there is no limit to the number of files uploaded). Quarter-page graphics are generally approved for placement in up to two editions of The Bulletin per promotional cycle of an event/initiative.
